Technicians Josh and Chris were very prompt, took their time to answer all of my questions, showed me what they were talking about at the tank, and did the job quickly of pumping my tank. Bad news is I need a new drain field which I sadly was expecting. Good news is the septic tank is in "real good" condition. Time to get a drain field replacement quote :-).

12/10/25 - Don't see how I can add another review so editing. I went with Averett's quote for my new drain field. Kmart, Alex, and James came out today and installed my new drain field. They did a great job, were on time, took the time to answer any questions I had (it was interesting to watch), and completed it in the day it was scheduled. Thanks!

Averett Septic Tank Company was very polite and punctual. I want to call out Alex Jordan. I schedule an appointment, and Alex came to Lake Placid to evaluate a picture I sent them of my driveway septic tank cover. Alex immediate diagnosed and determined a corrective action to get my tank pumped!
His contacts and resources were a great help! On Monday, a young healthy man (I think his name is Josh) came to my place and removed the 3/4" metal plate that Alex procured to pump my tank.
My tank was a mess; it hadn't been pumped in over 20 years.
I highly recommend Averett Septic Tank Company, Alex and Josh! I would have added some photo; Josh took a bunch for my file.
